In spring 1989 I went to Vilnius to exhibit my prints at the National Gallery of Lithuania. Blockprinting was common there, as Lithuania was still a Soviet country. Even the exhibition poster was in block print. After returning to West-Berlin in summer 1989, I cut and printed two versions of the alphabet. Each comprises 24 characters.
